- Amendment 3 — Reproductive rights and care for minors
Would replace that amendment with abortion restrictions allowing care for medical emergencies, fatal fetal anomalies, and rape or incest within twelve weeks. It also adds provider and consent rules and a constitutional ban on gender-transition procedures for minors, with specified medical exceptions.
- Amendment 6 — Initiative and referendum protections
Would preserve current signature and statewide-majority rules, make initiative and referendum powers a fundamental right, and limit legislative interference. Changes to voter-initiated laws would require referral to voters backed by at least 80% of each legislative chamber.
- Amendment 7 — Public endowment and possible tax replacement
Would create a protected endowment intended eventually to replace state taxes with investment earnings. Withdrawals would depend on sufficient earnings and be capped at 3% of the fund’s five-year average value. Lawmakers could restore revenue sources if the fund failed to meet its obligations.
- Amendment 8 — Constitutional status of elected sheriffs
Would place four-year sheriff elections and specified duties in the constitution for covered counties, with exceptions for specified charter counties and a city outside a county. Covered sheriffs could be removed only through a quo warranto court proceeding initiated by the attorney general.
- Proposition A — Congressional district boundaries
Would approve House Bill 1 from the 2025 second extraordinary session and its new congressional districts. Rejection would leave the 2022 boundaries in place, according to the secretary of state’s certified explanation.
