3 statewide measures.
Three amendments verified in the official county sample ballot and county-government guide; state legislative texts checked. Local city tax question excluded.
- Amendment 1 — Bail for additional serious offenses
Would expand that exception to terrorism, second-degree murder, aggravated rape, aggravated rape of a child, grave torture and offenses requiring at least 85% of the sentence under law as of November 3, 2026. Courts would have to record reasons for bail decisions in these cases.
- Amendment 2 — Ban on a state property tax
Would prohibit the legislature from levying or authorizing a state property tax on real, personal or mixed property. It would not eliminate local property taxes.
- Amendment 3 — Crime victims’ rights
Would replace the section with thirteen rights, expanding parole participation, notice and consideration of victims’ safety. Some rights require a request. Victims could assert these rights under legislative procedures, while due process, prosecutorial powers and court authority remain protected.
