• Proposal 3 — Collective bargaining

  Would protect employees’ right to organize and bargain through a chosen representative over wages, hours, conditions and safety. It would also prohibit laws blocking agreements that require union membership as a condition of employment.

• Proposal 4 — Equal protection

  Would prohibit the state from denying equal treatment because of race, ethnicity, sex, religion, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or national origin. It expressly preserves measures intended to improve equality for groups historically subject to discrimination.
